Raised in the humble surroundings of Western Montana, Demetri's upbringing is one of perseverance, hard work and determination. Raised by a devoted single mother in the rural expanses of Lake, Flathead, and Mineral County, Demetri learned early the importance of hard work and determination. Growing up as the youngest of three siblings, with a family consisting of blue collared workers and military personnel, he developed a profound appreciation for the sacrifices of our working class and service members. His strong bond with his grandmother and the influence of his older brother and sister played pivotal roles in shaping his character and values.
Family has always been at the heart of Demetri's world. Today, as a single father of two extraordinary children, he embodies the values instilled in him by his family. His experiences growing up in Montana has not only shaped Demetri into the man he is today but have also grounded him in the reality of everyday Montanans.
Professionally, Demetri has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to social good. As a small business owner and the Operations Director for Colman Community Services, a non-profit outpatient addiction counseling clinic he co-founded in 2021, he has made significant strides in combating substance abuse in Montana. The clinic has become a beacon of hope, significantly improving the quality of, and access to, addiction counseling services across the state, particularly through the development of a statewide telehealth program aimed at reaching rural communities.
In addition to his contributions to healthcare, Demetri has made a mark in the transportation industry, establishing several companies that form the backbone of Transportation Network, a Montana based transportation service. Through entities like Billings Taxi Company, Helena Taxi Company, and Kalispell Taxi Company, he is addressing a critical need for reliable transportation across Montana, as well as providing Medicaid reliable transportation options for those in need.
